Hershey, PA – July 2026
PennTec 2026 is officially in the books, and what a remarkable week it was at the Hershey Lodge! The Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA) marked its centennial in style, bringing together leaders, innovators, and professionals dedicated to the future of water and wastewater management across Pennsylvania and beyond.
The atmosphere was electric, with vibrant discussions centered on biosolids management, emerging contaminants like PFAS, and sustainable, forward-thinking solutions. Attendees explored cutting-edge technologies poised to transform the industry and deliver real environmental and operational benefits.
Ecoremedy, LLC was proud to be part of the action. A sincere thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to connect with Michael Nicholson and Dion Banks. We thoroughly enjoyed every conversation and the opportunity to showcase how our Fluid Lift™ Gasification technology is emerging as a genuine game-changer for the wastewater sector — delivering efficient resource recovery, significant volume reduction, and effective destruction of emerging contaminants.
A true highlight of the event was the well-attended tour of the Derry Township Municipal Authority (DTMA) Renewable Biosolids Energy Facility. Nearly 50 industry professionals joined us for an in-depth look at this flagship project, witnessing firsthand the progress being made in sustainable biosolids management. We extend a big shout-out to William Rehkop, P.E., and the entire DTMA team for their outstanding partnership and warm hospitality throughout the tour.
We’re also deeply grateful to our engineering partners at Brown and Caldwell, including Colin O'Brien and the full project team. Their expertise and dedication have been instrumental in bringing this innovative biosolids resource recovery facility to life. Commissioning is now well underway, with gasification startup anticipated this July — exciting times ahead!
Special thanks go to Kappe Associates, Inc., and our entire network of manufacturers’ representatives. Your continued support in promoting the technology, organizing the tour, and making valuable connections across the industry made a tremendous difference.
As we left Hershey, we carried with us renewed energy and inspiration from the passion, collaboration, and shared commitment visible throughout the week. The future of wastewater innovation looks bright, and Ecoremedy is proud to be at the forefront alongside such exceptional partners.
If you didn’t get a chance to connect with us at PennTec 2026, we’d love to continue the conversation. Reach out to explore how our Fluid Lift™ Gasification system can help address your biosolids management and PFAS challenges with proven, sustainable results.
